Objective

My objective is to always be involved in unique projects that stimulate learning while allowing me to further expand my experience and creative skills.  I have an education background and am currently employed as the owner of my own business Smith Instructional Design & Technology LLC providing instructional design and technology services to a variety of companies and agencies, and by the SE Art Department as an adjunct professor with a master’s degree in Instructional Design & Technology. I have extensive experience in all stages of the development of learning materials following modern learning theory including the ADDIE process of analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning content. I work daily with subject matter experts to pinpoint client/learning material needs, and successfully produce learning materials according to those communications and feedback for many clients including high profile government and law enforcement agencies at both the state and federal level. As a curriculum developer/educator I have a great deal of experience in training and educating others on a large variety of topics both virtually and face-to-face. I have experience following laws and regulations in the handling of digital content including meeting accessibility and privacy requirements. I have a lifelong passion for technology that has led me to explore technology tools and digital resources in my education, my career, and other personal endeavors. I have extensive business and employee management experience and love working with and interacting with people. I am no stranger to participating in presenting to, or consulting with large groups of people. I have extensive knowledge of, and love for technology and all forms of computer hardware and software. I stay up to date on all computer hardware and software trends and availability and build computers regularly. I have hired, fired, and trained many employees over the years as needed. I have dealt with and negotiated in high profile multimillion dollar contracts. I will prove to be an asset to any team I may manage or be involved with and my unique work experiences coupled with my degrees uniquely qualify me for positions in the IDT/Marketing, IT, Management, and Sales fields.
